Plants were found on southeast shore of Waldo Lake, near Shadow Bay. Flowering stems roughly 30cm and taller than leaves. Stems were sticky, with red glandular hairs near the top of stem. Leaves basal and equitant. Plants were in fruit, none present were in flower. Fruits are bright red, 3-beaked capsules. The fruit are in the form of a globose raceme. When dry, they easily crumble and expose small seeds encased in white papery seed coats- this was how I distinguished the plants from Triantha glutinosa- according to Flora of North America, T. occidentalis' seeds possess white, reticulate, inflated seed coats, while T. glutinosa's seeds do not. I believe this can be seen in the last photo.
