These crazy insects (?) make little tunnels in the sand at the river’s edge. At night they come out, and move very fast — hard to get a good picture.

Description
In 1989, from about May 15 to June 7 -- I was on expedition in Rio Guayapo-Sipapo drainage. At one camp site - in forested area along Rio Sipapo near Salto Remo, I observed and collected a few Dendrobates frogs that were orange and black (assigned field # LN 89-66). I recall these differed from the Dendrobates in the Rio Guayapo sites - those frogs were yellow and black - the typical color of D. leucomelas. If someone is interested in better quality image, I will have to find my original slide and re-scan. I am fairly certain that I correctly located Salto Remo on the iNaturalist map (observation was before GPS and mapping our location was difficult on such a meandering river surrounded by immense lowland forest) - if I can find my other maps I may update location at a later time.
