Edit. 12 (not 13) antennomeres, scapes very short, propodeum angled but without spines, postpetiole with an anterior tubercle and tibial spurs reduced. There’s a slight chance this is a parasitic Leptothorax, though. Found indoors.

This was found inside tropical fruit leaves (mangosteen) and I was suggested this complex for this ant.
If possible, I would love to know exact species.
It is now captive, since it is not native and was found inside exotic produce.
Also, any particular care tips would be welcome as I am not familiar with genus and have been told Canadian species of this genus tend to be on the more difficult side.

This observation is for the distinctive larvae which separate Doleromyrma from the other small brown dolichoderine genera recorded in my locality (Tapinoma and Arnoldius). Doleromyrma have two mid-dorsal protuberances at approximately segments A2 and A3.

Small ants approximately 6mm in length. This particular nest has been in the same location for at least 26 years. (At the time of the property purchase). During the morning hours they cluster together tightly into one large mound of approximately 4 or 5cm in diameter and 1 cm thick. On a few occasions I observed the mound of ants resembling the size and shape of a table tennis ball. After mid day they essentially disappear under ground. Very slow moving.
