Bird landed on a tree branch with an intact skink, but at some stage it must've chopped off the skink's tail. I missed that bit because of heavy rain and trying to keep the camera dry! Hopefully the bird caught a plague skink.

Description
BLACK-NECKED STILT FEEDING FRENZY!
A flock of Stilts which had been spread across a wide area of shallows began to erupt in an increasing din and, at the same time, to concentrate into a tight scrum while frantically feeding. At first, the noise suggested the presence of a predator, but none were seen. I concluded that there must have been a localized presence of insects or small fish that got them so excited. The commotion even attracted the attention of a Great Egret, which strolled around the edge of the group like a homeroom monitor to observe.
