Emerged from gall on Brickellia californica on 04/05/2023. Gall collected 03/14/2023: https://www.inaturalist.org/observations/151190103 The bands of infuscation of the wings were slightly washed out by the brightness in the first few pics, photos 5 and 8 are closer to how they look in person, rather pale gray bands but still prominent.

This bot fly emerged from a warble on the chest of a tuco-tuco (Ctenomys haigii) on 22 November 2007. The mature larva pupated in a bottle, and emerged as an adult on 26 February, 2008. This is the only bot fly that I have found on many tuco-tucos.
