Description
Could someone help me identify? Not sure if this is a goshawk or sharp shinned hawk or something else? I found it sitting on top of a telephone pole near Anchorage,Ak. There was another hawk flying near the area and a short eared owl. They were all flying and diving into the grass and I couldn’t keep up with the camera! Not sure if the bird that’s flying is the same bird or a different one. Thanks!

5 otters viewed at length and at close range (they were constrained by this oultet being the very little that is remaining open water). They were fishing and were much enjoyed by the kids and passerbyers. A neighbor reports they can be found in the lagoon throughout the summer but mostly stay on the trail-less side of the lagoon.

Bull Moose, photographed in central Anchorage (Alaska), next to a major road. Same animal as the moose in images Urban Moose 1 and Urban Moose 2 , but it had moved into close-by scrub on second pass round the block...by the way: the sun on its face is real, no Photoshop!

Description
Could be the first report in Anchorage ever. Reported by many on 6/19/23. Consensus is currently on Tundra over Taiga due to bill proportions, size relative to nearby Canada/cackling geese, amount of coloring on the bill, and a clearly visible “grin patch” in photos with a bit better resolution than what I was able to get.
