Description
Egg laying female. Egg in the last picture, laid on Tabernaemontana, which isn't its host. A mango tree was nearby. I've observed same phenomenon of egg laying elsewhere alongside the hosts in Pansies.

Description
I spot this one from the ground in a small plant below a Mango tree as their one side wings are damaged ..(maybe due to some external factors affected during its a pupa or that may be due to some Parasites ?)
This one is I guess the Royal banded butterfly.
Bright black-blue dorsal.
This one i got can't fly and find food for itself .
And if closely observe what it is doing in my hand, you can see that they are absorbing nutrients from my sweat.. See the small proboscis (tongue like thing touches my skin to absorb the nutrients in my sweat)..
After observing sometimes and taking some photos and videos
I just put him back to a flower,a more safer place i think it will be,and i left ..
Next morning i couldn't see him, maybe caught by predators.
[ What might be the reason for its wings damage ?
What should I do if I see one butterfly again in a same situation? ]
I Think the butterfly fell from the mango tree, maybe the small plants(parasites) seen in the Mango tree might be this butterfly's larval host plant.

Description
I didn't observe the butterfly when I took photo of the flowering plant. Later while checkling the photos I saw the butterfly and asked Butterfly expert Deepak for the id.. Interestingly this is not a common butterfly to be seen or to be captured.
