Here it is September already, Many new species were added this summer. Thanks to every ones help, the project is moving along. Spiders and warblers are starting to increase. The Lodge Pond is beginning to fill with migrating water fowl, there is some shorebird habitat developing in spite of all the rain.

Get out and enjoy the insects that are flouishing all around the preserve. Lots of activity around the mulberry from the fruit loving birds and rodents.

Remember the Project is ... MORE... accepting observations Back to July 2008, so, Dust off some of those older finds and upload, while we await the Spring push. We still have many observations to confirm. Take a look and see if you can confirm any observation

Fall has arrived at Fernald Preserve. The leaves are changing. The winter Waterfowl are beginning to arrive.
Thanks to all the 113 observers and 973 identifiers, Fernald has recorded 5500 observations, 1178 species.
We invite all to join the project,
The Fernald Preserve Ohio boundaries was revised today Sept. 12, 2021. This change will allow observations close or on the actual boundary to be included in the Project. Both Butler and Hamilton County are included in the project "place".
