This project is designed to create an idea of what species are likely to use bee hotels set up. Please no intentional wasp images or European Honey Bees, Bumblebees, or Stingless Bees as well as images with no bee or cap (observation of nest cap may be removed if it is likely a wasp). I will try to add as many observations as I can but as there are so many it would be great if you could add your own. It would also be good if people can include what the bee was nesting in (hardwood block, bamboo, earth block etc.) and hole diameters however this isn't crucial.
A “hotel” qualifies for the project if it was a) man made for the purpose of attracting bees or b) taken and placed in the garden for the same purpose. (a good example, I have 4 borer ridden logs I got from the council and brought home).
