Join biologists in identifying as many plant and animal species as possible at Wabu Woods SNA. The BioBlitz is an intensive one-day field study to document the biodiversity of the SNA. Participants can learn from experts and help contribute to a better understanding of the ecology of the SNA and the organisms found on it.
We will also be joined by members of the Minnesota Mycological* Society.
No experience necessary, just bring your curiosity and enthusiasm. A device with iNaturalist downloaded on it is highly recommended to help record all the interesting organisms that you find.
Clothing and footwear appropriate for outdoor work/hiking is recommended. There are no maintained trails or recreational facilities on this site.
The event starts at 10am and activities will go on throughout the day. Come and go as you please.
