A morning at Shenandoah River State Park

Somehow until yesterday I had missed the existence of iNaturalist. Because @annagypsy and I take biologizing walks every weekend morning with the dogs, but our observations tend to not go anywhere, it only made sense to put iNaturalist to use this morning at Shenandoah River State Park. We had a great morning that included a copperhead eating an unidentified rodent, a pair of Bald Eagles, an eastern box turtle, and a host of other plants and animals. This is my first journal entry, so I'll be curious to see how the linkage to the observations works.

Awesome! Welcome to the awesomeness of iNaturalist :-) Hope you visit Blandy--looks like you're out that way!

Thanks! We try to get to Blandy at least every-other weekend, and I expect we'll have a good bit to add around there between records from before joining iNaturalist and observations to be made in the future.

I used to work at Blandy and have a handful of observations there from my pre-iNat days. I should try to get their staff on board with iNaturalist again.
