A Mention of Mushrooms for Field Notes Friday

Howdy, fellow iNaturalists!

I mentioned mushrooms AND iNaturalist in my latest blog entry here: http://bit.ly/mushroooom

Also included:
-a reference to our NEW iNat Get Togethers for North Texas. Let me know if you're in the DFW area and want to join!

  • a shout out to LG_Price and her Texas Higher Fungi project.

Each of my blog entries is 500 words or fewer, so should only take 3-5 minutes of your time. Please read this latest one and let me know I'm not alone in my newfound love of mushrooms!

Happy reading, and happy naturing!
Oh, and happy #FieldNotesFriday!

Awesome post! You will find mushroom hunting addicting! I just came back from mushroom hunting in a city park.

I don't know if you know yet, but one way to identify a mushroom is to take a spore print.

You're not alone with the fungus obsession. I've seen some gorgeous ones out at LLELA, but they seem to be a lot harder to identify than birds- so many factors go into the identification.
