Hi Everyone! It is that time in the semester at ACC where I have my students participate in moth surveys at Pease Park and Roy G. Guerrero Park here in Austin, Texas. Most of you that I have tagged above have participated before and I would love to see you at one or more of the mothing nights coming up. The dates for the events are below listed by location.

Pease Park

September 21
September 28
October 12

Roy G. Guerrero

September 24
October 1
October 15

I will set up around 6pm at each location on the given date and will turn on the lights around 7-7:30pm.

Please feel free to bring others with you and I encourage you to tag others on this post that you think might be interested. Last semester my students really enjoyed having the iNaturalist community out there and it created an energy during the event that really engaged the students.

I look forward to seeing many of you!

Thanks for everyone coming out so far. This is a reminder that we have an event tonight at Roy G. Guerrero and then we will take a week off and then do a Wednesday Pease Park event and another saturday Roy G. Guerrero event.

This week is our last week for mothing for the semester. We will be at Pease Park tonight (10/12/2022) and at Roy G. Guerrero on Saturday night (10/15/2022).

On an interesting note, we got the first observation of Pseudopyrausta marginalis for Travis County at Pease Park a few weeks ago. You can view one of these observations at https://www.inaturalist.org/observations/137314480#activity_comment_4df4a7fb-830e-4f00-b7a1-30473c136551
