Had a great week in Sherwood Forest in a cabin. Surrounded by wildlife and with the family. managed to capture a range of plants, insects and animals.
Looking after a 2yr old Grandson prevents the usual observations but great fun.
Will have to revisit.
Very shiny, strongly ribbed elytra. Three thoracic horns.
On Holiday - view from cabin Bedroom window - predominantly gray fur with a brownish colour tinge. A white underside and a large bushy tail.
On bird table at back of cabin - 3 observed - all predominantly gray fur with a brownish colour tinge. A white underside and a large bushy tail.
Orange/red breast and face lined with grey, brown upperparts and a whitish belly.
Reddish underparts and a blue-grey cap. Large double white wing bars, white tail edges and greenish rump.
Leaves divided into three segments with flowers about 2 cm diameter, with six petal-like segments with many stamens.
