City Nature Challenge 2024: Wichita Falls, Texas -Rolling Plains Chapter TMN Region's Journal

We did it! We surpassed last year's species for the CNC!

Huge thanks to @cre8tive_viking @badger8181 @sandyleau @dhalter @mmeador @anastasia2028 for the fantastic number of observations and species! You are awesome!

Last year, we had 689 species, but this year we are up to 953!

There were some wonderful observations of some species of greatest conservation need also!

Thank each and everyone of you for your help in this project!

Wow! April is here! That means that it is almost time for the City Nature Challenge 2024!

On April 26-29, our region will be participating in this global iNaturalist challenge event!

(Sponsored by the California Academy of Sciences and the Natural History Museum/Los Angeles County)

We are looking to make more observations than ever! That means we need your help! During those 4 days, get outside and make the observations so that they will be added to our region's count.

These observations help scientists learn more about the biodiversity of our world and also makes a friendly, fun competition!
