Welcome!

Welcome to our Norfolk bioblitz!

So what's it all about? Well, over the three days of our sailing trip around the Norfolk broads we will take advantage of our small, quiet, traditional mode of transport and observe as much wildlife as we can. Plants, animals, algae, fungi and the rest - any living thing can be added to the records and the more we can record the better. Whatsmore, we can call on the expertise of thousands of iNaturalist users to help us identify our sightings. Pretty cool huh?!

All we have to do it take photos of wildlife using the iNaturalist app and upload them here with a GPS location and any other relevant field notes.

Let's see what we can find!

Thank you! ...and keep uploading!

Thank you for a fabulous weekend, I hope you had as much fun spotting wildlife as I did!

Please do continue to add any photos of wildlife you may have taken to this project. When you upload a record you can use the map to pinpoint the location your photo was taken (or nearest estimate) and don't worry if you can't identify your beasty, within 24hrs we've already had help identifying many of our species including those lovely furry caterpillars - soon to turn into beautiful Garden Tiger Moths.

I will also try to add records of any wildlife pictured in our joint dropbox folder over the coming weeks.

Thanks again,

Susannah
