Finishing up

Please finish your projects by:

  1. Checking through all your observations and confirming identifications if you can.
(also check comments and locations to avoid errors)
(if you have duplicated observations, please delete the extras)

  2. Checking your stored photos to see if you uploaded all observations from our field trips.
(there are some missing species that I know some of you photographed)

  3. Go back to your notebook and add identifications to the notes you took on the field trips.
  4. Click on "Checklist" near the map on the project page to see a list of everything we observed at Harlaxton.

Swept past 100, heading for 200!

We now need to find some less common species. But there are still some obvious ones not recorded. So we need you to get a photo of: grey squirrel, carrion crow, rock dove, cedar of Lebanon, box.
Now is a good time to find some interesting fungi too. Check the flowering plants for insects gathering nectar and pollen. Look on leaves for galls.

Nearing 100 species

We are getting close to 100 species so look for new ones out on the grounds or in your photos.
Please only include observations from the college grounds in the project. Other observations will still count toward your total.

Biology at Harlaxton

The Biology 100 and 199 classes are off to a good start recording the diversity of Harlaxton College. Does anyone have photos of the birds we saw this week? We need photos of the geese, woodpigeons, and any others. You may need to crop the photos before uploading so we can see the birds clearly.
