Following a degree in Biology with a particular interest in ecology and field biology in the mid-70s, the work world took me in other, non-biological directions. Now that I have retired I'm finding myself out in the woods with my camera a lot of the time. I learned about iNaturalist recently in an issue of Canadian Wildlife ... sounds like an interesting and worthwhile endeavour! Main interest at this time is documenting flora and fauna in an area just west of Ottawa that was farmed until the early 1960s when it was acquired by the National Capital Commission and re-forested. Now it is almost completely surrounded by suburban sprawl and there is a lot of use by people in the area.
