I have a Ph.D. in Integrative Biology from U.C. Berkeley and am a professor in Applied Environmental Science at California State University Monterey Bay. I was hired as a field biologist and have engaged students in projects and learning about ecosystems in the Monterey Bay area. My primary focus has been on dunes, with a lesser focus on maritime chaparral, of Fort Ord.

I consider myself a generalist with experience spanning a wide range of marine, freshwater, and terrestrial ecosystems across various taxa.
