Bird Division @ Smithsonian Institution, National Museum of Natural History. A bird nerd first and foremost, trying to become a more well rounded naturalist. Originally from Louisiana, I lived in Wyoming during graduate school and eventually moved to Virginia for my job in Washington, D.C.

Lately volunteering for the beautiful Bull Run Mountains NAP as a research associate.

These days my primary focus is natural sound:

A couple of my babies:
"A distinctive new species of flowerpecker (Passeriformes: Dicaeidae) from Borneo." -finally in iNat!

"Patterns of genetic and morphological divergence reveal a species complex in the Plain Wren (Cantorchilus modestus)"
