Pollinator monitoring project in SE Michigan with non-lethal observations made by students and volunteers at Oakland University. Bees were captured and chilled using established research protocols. No bumble bees were killed for this study. All bees pictured here are alive and were released after photographs were taken. Additionally, vials were not reused for multiple bees unless cleaned beforehand.
