I am a retired high school Art and Science teacher, and I have been in Alaska since 1970. I am a "compulsive" naturalist, always curious about everything I see outdoors. I love birding and enjoy watching interactions in the natural world, whether it is birds, weather, insects, or gardens... something is always going on. I am an intermittent with USFWS and help coordinate the Kachemak Bay Shorebird Festival
