Hello!
My name is Isaac,
I graduated from the University of North Texas (UNT) with a B.S. in Ecology for Environmental Science. During my time at UNT I sort of fell into doing prairie restoration and other native plant installation projects. These projects initiated my interest in native flora and I haven't turned back since.
During undergrad I worked as a lab technician for a plant-pollinator interactions lab, and right after graduating I interned for the U.S. Geological Survey as a field technician to survey wetlands across the prairie pothole region. I now work in a cube and try to make time to go out every once and a while.

I do not claim to be an expert in anything, just passionate about flowers, and trees, and bees and butterflies and mushrooms, and dragonflies and rodents and large animals and and and...
With that said, I have been wrong several times, but usually that's when an expert shares their secrets ;)

I find joy in discovering for myself the life I am surrounded by. iNaturalist has turned into my favorite game and has helped me focus on aspects of the world I would generally pass over.
