U.S. birds are a life-long passion. Decades worth of my bird data (~750 sp.) are in eBird. I am continuously amazed by the enormous diversity of life around us. It is so overwhelming that I decided to concentrate my efforts identifying all the living things on our 3 acre patch west of Eugene, OR. I have identified over 800 species here and the list continually grows.
