I've always felt a great affinity for nature. I was born in the United States, grew up in the Carolinas. I learned to garden over there but have lived in north west England for the last 15 years, as my husband is British. I love gardening and especially love the always amazing experience of growing things from seed. I photograph flowers and often choose which ones I want to photograph and then grow them in my small garden. I also volunteer for the local Incredible Edible group, helping take care of a small plot called The Orchard where there are 15 - 20 fruit trees and shrubs as well as raspberry and strawberry plants and a few raised beds with flowers and herbs in them. We are hoping to rewild the site by evolving the surrounding grass areas into a wildflower meadow with walking paths mown through it to all the trees and shrubs, etc.
