I've got a broad knowledge of the natural world and a love of lifelong learning. I worked at the California Academy of Sciences in San Francisco for nearly 15 years. Much of that time was spent as an educator/naturalist in the museum's Naturalist Center.

Not too long ago, I completed my master's degree in ecology and biodiversity at Stockholm University, Sweden. My thesis focused on the diversity of galling and leaf-mining insects on urban pedunculate oaks (Quercus robur). After that, I lived in South Korea for several years and taught English, sharing my love for natural history whenever I could.

Now I'm back in the United States and working for the program Learning Among the Oaks at The Land Conservancy of San Luis Obispo County. It's an outdoor science education and youth environmental leadership program. Hoping to add more observations of organisms found along our trails!
