After a two year stint in Brandenburg, in my native Germany, where I got to use iNaturalist in environmental education, I moved back to Northern California. I have a master's in Environmental Science with a focus on Forest Ecology, spend a lot of time exploring the diverse ecosystems of Northern California, currently working for the California Native Plant Society. From 2016-2019 I worked for California State Parks where I also got to survey rare plants in the parks as part of my work.
I find it more convenient to share observations here than on Calflora / Calphoto and am glad that iNaturalist shares observations with other databases.
