Chris (CP) and Pamela (PP) Pipes

Chris (CP) has a Master of Science Degree in Biology with thesis (fish eye research) from the University of Texas of the Permian Basin (Odessa, 2001), and a second Master of Science Degree in Range & Wildlife Management (non-thesis) from Sul Ross State University (Alpine, Texas, 2010). He worked for 2.5 years as the manager of The Nature Conservancy's Davis Mountains Preserve and then for 5 years as a part-time instructor in Wildlife Management courses at Sul Ross State University. (His first career was in law enforcement in Odessa, Texas, from which he retired after 25 years.)

Pamela (PP) has Bachelor and Master of Science Degrees in Biology (thesis in rat reproductive hormone genetics) from the University of Texas of the Permian Basin (Odessa, 1997). She is currently employed as the registrar at Sul Ross State University.

Both are graduates and members of the Tierra Grande chapter of the Texas Master Naturalist program, as well as members of the Big Bend chapter of the Native Plant Society, the Chihuahuan Desert Research Institute, and the Texas Ornithological Society.
