Amaal Yazdi is an Iranian- American insect ecology and conservation major at the University of Delaware focusing on Hymenoptera in her studies. She has a background in fine arts and her work is most often inspired by the natural sciences. She is passionate about the intersection of entomology and liberation, especially in the areas of environmental justice, anti-colonialism, and empowering scientists of color and is also interested in pursuing a career in biologically inspired design.
