I'm interested in all sorts of living things, basically anything that catches my eye. At one point I was sort of an expert on North American gartersnakes, but these days my taxonomic focus is jumping bristletails, an obscure order that is the sister group to all other living insects. I'm also especially interested in birds, biogeography, and the natural history of the Great Basin.
