Kevin Clark, Director of BioServices at the San Diego Natural History Museum, has over twenty five years of biological experience, including surveys for a wide range of endangered species. He coordinates the biological contracting work with the science departments of the SDNHM. He received his Master of Science degree studying the effects of habitat fragmentation on lizards, birds, and mammals in the Sonoran Desert. He is a former U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service biologist who worked on the recovery of endangered species including the California Gnatcatcher and California Least Tern, and was regional recovery coordinator for the threatened Western Snowy Plover. He wrote the Critical Habitat and Listing Rule for the California Gnatcatcher. He has conducted biological surveys throughout the U.S., Mexico, and Costa Rica. He also coauthored a book on the extinction of the Imperial Woodpecker that took him throughout tropical and montane habitats of northwestern Mexico. He is currently a member of the Recovery Team for the endangered Masked Bobwhite.
