I am a wildlife biologist studying the behavior and ecology of rattlesnakes, snakebite epidemiology, and how rattlesnake behavior affects encounters with people. I am particularly interested in Crotalus scutulatus (Mohave Rattlesnake), especially it's diet, reproductive habits, its odd distribution on opposite sides of the Colorado River, and variation in venom components across its range. I live in Tucson, AZ, where I serve as a consulting biologist with the Arizona Poison and Drug Information Center, and I enjoy an appointment as adjunct faculty researcher at San Diego State University.
