Spring is arriving!

The insects are coming out of hiding, and now with my new ultraviolet lightbulbs I'm getting summer numbers while it's still below 50 outside. These lightbulbs are paying off! I wonder how many insects I'll see once the cherry blossoms begin to bloom and the nights get warmer...

26 March, 2023

Strangely quiet tonight.

Just a few hours ago the Big Dipper was above my house amongst the stars, mars was clearly visible next to the waxing crescent moon shining it's light down on my street as the frogs and crickets chittered in the distance. But now I go outside and there's nothing. I can't remember the last time I could hear my ears ringing outside. The moon and all the stars vanished. All the color seemed to disappear from my surroundings. No frogs, no crickets, no birds, no people, no cars, no lights on in any houses. Just me standing in the dark in the middle of the road.

Posting this in case I'm somehow right.

I've heard of a 16 mile wide craft that may be approaching. Could have something to do with unnatural silence on the 26th? Who's to say. However, I don't feel threatened by this.
