Journal Entry

The phylogeny placement for Setaria viridis is Plantae, Streptophyta, Monocotyledons, Commelinids, Poales, Gramineae, Panicoideae, Panicease, Cenhrine, Setaria.

Among all my observations, one common adaptation is that their seed is all growing on their stem and have no cover on it, exposing it to the air. This adaptation may suggest that they adapt to the environment to widely spread their seeds for a prosperous generation.

From my observation of different kinds of plants that are lower than my knees, I found there is one branch of Erysimum that separates itself from the crowd to get more sunlight and probably adsorb more nutrients.
