Small, light gray, very round baby bunny.
iNaturalist suggests Brush Rabbit (S. bachmani) as the most likely ID, but there are no previous observations of Brush Rabbit on the east (Owens River facing) slope of the Sierras. So most likely Mountain Cottontail or Desert Cottontail? Also, the elevation is 7900 feet at this location in the town of Mammoth Lakes.
Banded rock rattlesnake. Very young juvenile, no longer than 20 cm. Very docile. Was found in bush and not displaced.
