Maybe Plumbeous but Merlin says Gray + this is where I saw a pair in May.

Pretty lousy phone photo. Notes from my eBird checklist: "Continuing bird. About 1/3 the size of nearby Mourning Doves with short, squared-off tail. Rufous in outer wings when flying but we saw only quick bursts of flight so unable to gauge extent. Plain warm brown back becoming slightly grayer on rump and tail. Gray nape and rear crown with pinkish-brown face and forecrown. Scaling on crown not obvious. Dark rectangular spots (with odd little comma shape on corners on most) on wing coverts and tertials. Most of these glossed purple-cinnamon when the angle of the sun was correct. One spot on the posterior tertials was all dark brown without any gloss that I could see. No dark marks on scapulars. Bill was short and reddish-based, though this was not obvious from even a short distance away. Underparts were mostly a pinkish-brown/gray. The "scaling" on the breast was odd in that many of the central breast feathers were dusky with broad lighter edges (rather than the opposite) so, in effect, it appeared to have dark spotting on the breast rather than dark scaling. Thus appearing more like illustrations in Howell and Webb than any of the other guides I have, that are focused more on birds north of the Mexican border."
One of many better photos here: https://ebird.org/checklist/S30338318
To my knowledge, this is the first and only record for Santa Fe County.
