Watersnake had been caught by Red-shouldered Hawk who began to carry it away and dropped it. After I went over to see what kind of snake it had gotten, the hawk returned and had it's meal.

This one actually had a reddish tint on the underbelly, like the scientific name suggests. It was originally basking higher up on the bank, but it got spooked by me and partially retreated
