Description

under rock. Basalt hillside near dey stream.
It was offered morula and ziziphus mucronata leaves. It may have eaten some of the ziziphus leaf but Im not sure.

According to the African Moths the food plant is croton. But the nearest croton gratissimus to this caterpillar would be about 1km away where they are very abundant.

I brushed against this little looper descending on its silken thread from the canopy. Objected rather strongly to being photographed. Lashed about until he was offered a supporting leaf to climb on.
