Found on algae mat in backyard water garden. Not sure if there on purpose or by accident so I scooped it out. Wing pattern made it resemble a jumping spider.

Two flies facing each other, belly to belly, on sunflower bed in garden. They slowly waggled their wings at one another, first one wing and then the other in what looked like a courtship display.
