81 degrees at 7:35pm, 4,000 feet elevation
Totally thought this was an adult desert nightsnake when I was checking it out. Then while looking at my photos of it a bit later, I thought “wait a sec, that kind of looks like a gopher snake!” It was very small - check out the photo of it with comparison to my foot. So cute. 77 degrees at 9:15pm and around 3,000-3,500 feet elevation.
Dead on road :( 64 degrees at 9:58pm, less than 2 feet long, a young one. Just above 4,000 feet elevation.

Came to cool off in our garden before leaving and taking a shit. He didn’t have a rattle and was harmless. Just cooling off from the hot sun.
