Wooded area dominated by white pine and red maple. Many large white pines but may have been thinned out recently. Area was partially open. Some of the sedges had elongated inflorescences, not tightly clustered. but the perigynia were all typical of C. cumulata. These woods are adjacent to a logged-off area where I found C. cumulata last year.

Besides white pine, other associates included red maple, Scirpus cyperinus, Carex debilis, bracken fern, and Canada mayflower. Most of the stems were decumbent. If not for a few upright ones I probably wouldn't have seen them.
