A rather inconspicuous little (c. 30cm ht) sedge in dry heath. Checked its appearance against Tricostularia pauciflora and Tetraria capillaris, but it seems to fit S. lepidosperma best.
Occasional plant in dry heath. The leaf sheaths are not bearded (2nd photo), so not S. ericetorum.

A species of sedge native to Western Australia. Monoecious and rhizomatous perennial grass-like sedge.
A small tussock in Allocasuarina nana heath at c. 900m elevation, less common and much more delicate than S. villosus, also present and forming large grassy looking tussocks.
