Identifing species near Harry Miller Middle School and Rothesay High school

Observations:

1. Grew alone, no cluster
2. Was about 4 feet from the water
3. Blends in to the dead grass around and behind it.

the centre of the flower is brown
plant stays very low to the ground

-Bright red
-Small circular shape
-Scattered around on multiple trees

-light green leaves
-red spots all over, more common at the top
-very small flowers at top

-flying from leaf to leaf
-yellow and black stripes
-small, skinny, and smooth body (not a bee)

• Flat, disc-shaped cap
• Medium-brown in colour
• Cap is slightly textured, with whitish discolouration

Found near lots of other trees, size of a closed fist.
