Growing under Arctostaphylos pechoensis - I suspect this might be Cortinarius thiersii, which I saw growing in the same location about 6-7 weeks prior.

Description

Mild taste; flexible gills did not readily break like most Russulas; I would describe the color as pinky-peach or pinky-beige washed over in grey with a barely detectable dull greenish tint (and this grey "wash" was more concentrated on the perimeter of the cap; reddish-brown or rusty-brown spots on the cap; spore prints or at the end of the photo set. I would call the spore color ivory, off-white, or maybe very pale beige.
