Locally abundant within Cladium-dominated brackish marshes along Grassy Creek. Numerous, genetically-distinct clones observed.
Mating pair!
Moved safely off the road.
Dor. Rattle cut off by idiots.
Has flat green point leaves, short and sandy soil. A large stalk is extending from the middle of the plant with medium white flowers at the end. I believe from the weight of the flowers or the rain may have bend the stalk rather than it standing straight up.
It was a rainy day with a temperature of 87 degrees.
Neonate observed (~11") emerging from tortoise burrow at sunset, and coiling into nearby Crocanthemum thicket.
First-year juvenile hit DOR just before I could get to it. Heading west across road.
Adult AOR moving at sunset over Otter Creek.
