Updated- Went back for a walk this morning to update the info. Appears to be close to an acacia tree but theirs also loads of eucalyptus trees, a single bunya pine and a few other scattered pines in the same “garden” bed. Im unable to narrow down the trees any better than that though.

old and seemed to be parasitized by another fungus
Growing under a chestnut tree in the nature strip at the front of 1 Venice Ct. Did not dig to look for volva. In recently disturbed/cultivated soil.
Earthball - golden yellow
Earthball - bright red on forest floor, small opening where you can see inner structure.
Wooly stipe, slightly bulbous base brusing pale yellowish orange. Spore Print - mid brown/light chocolate, gills pinkish brown. This species has brown spore/gills.
