Description
Ookow differs from Blue Dicks in that (1) Ookow filament sheaths (tooth-like projections between the tepals and stamens) stand away from the yellow-tipped stamens, whereas Blue Dicks' filament sheaths form a tight crown around the yellow-tipped stamens. You can plainly see the "forked tooth" filament sheaths in the 4th photo here; (2) Each Ookow flower constricts just above where it covers the ovary and the tepals separate. Blue Dicks doesn’t have a waist. The constricting waist is clear on flowers in the photos here.

Please note death camas species that might confuse identification have large puffy bright white stamens that stick way out from the individual flowers, while the stamens of common star lily are smaller, don't stick out as much, and are a creamy yellow. Last two photos are an updated inflorescence image and an image of leaves, same individual organism
