What I believe to be Megachile perihirta, Western Leaf Cutter Bee nesting in my cabbage stalks. I let a few cabbages go to seed for the bees and to spread the seeds. I cut the main part of the plant off and left the thick woody stem with just a few branches of seed. You can see evidence of the clarkia petals in the hole.
