Description
Many blister beetles were observed in a gravel parking lot. I attempted to move one out of the way of a car by carrying it on a leaf, but it dropped off and assumed the defensive position with reflexive bleeding (see picture) when it hit the ground.

Description
This was so interesting. I think it’s the first time I saw what was inside the P. occidentalis fruit. It would be great to find a tree with lower branches to watch this happen!
