Description

White above eye and on chest, rufous on rump and flanks

Large geographical variation for this bird. This coloration corresponds to other specimens observed in southern Malawi (specifically Mulanje):
https://www.inaturalist.org/observations/66348677
https://www.inaturalist.org/observations/66336323

While in the north of Malawi, a wholly different morph is found:

Song seems also to have a local dialect.
